MySpace Spends $20 Million (15 Million) on New Ad Campaign, Including Its First TV Ad Video

It may be shocking to find out at this point, but MySpace is still around. Don't worry, your embarrassing photos and choice of grammar are still far behind, as this is a new MySpace for a new generation.

Or something like that. At this point, it's unsure that even MySpace knows what MySpace is or should be.

But, as Samsung has proven, there's nothing a huge advertising budget can't fix. So MySpace will spend $20 million (€15 million) advertising the new site, which has been around in beta for a few months now, including via a TV spot, its first ever.

It's probably mean to say that the ad campaign is worth more than the company at this point.

MySpace now bills itself as a space for musicians, artists, and other creatives, hoping to cash in on the one area of the site that hasn't been completely replaced by other products. The ad doesn't actually reveal any of that, but that's by design probably.
