Winamp for Android Gets Small Update, Fixes Stutter and Skipping Issues

Good news for Android users who listen to their favorite music via Winamp, as developers have just released a small update that fixes some of the issues reported in the past.

First and foremost, developers have announced that they have fixed the “stutter” and “skipping” during music playback issues that were affecting some device models.

Furthermore, the folks over at Nullsoft have confirmed that they have addressed a rare issue where playback would stop randomly, regardless of the device model.

There are still a few known issues that need to be addressed in future updates, such as the ones detailed below:

– Pro Bundle – Gapless playback, Crossfade, & EQ not supported for M4A files on Android 2.1;
– Pro Bundle may not be supported / available on older or less expensive devices with chipsets that do not support floating point calculations.

Winamp 1.4.11 is now available as a free download via Softpedia and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.1 and up.
