Wolfenstein: The New Order Will Not Include Multiplayer

The development team at MachineGames and publisher Bethesda say that they have no plans to include a multiplayer mode for their upcoming Wolfenstein: The New Order.

Jens Matthies, the game director of the newly announced project, tells Gamespot that, "It's such a huge part of video game legacy. If there's a video game museum, Wolfenstein is in the first room. It's the start of the wave that shaped the world of gaming."

The developer says that his team understands that it's a honor for them to shape a reboot of the Wolfenstein series.

The game is set to take place in an alternate reality where the Nazis have won World War II.

Players will have to explore the 1960s in order to find the source of Nazi power and roll back their advances using classic shooter mechanics with some modern twists.
