Google Drive Is Down, Returning Error 502

Google Drive is currently experiencing some issues which make it intermittently available. Users around the world report connectivity issues. The site sometimes returns a 502 error, though it occasionally works.

Even when it does load, there are issues with listing items, search and so on. Google has acknowledged the problem, but hasn't provided any other details so far.

"We're aware of a problem with Google Drive affecting a significant subset of users. The affected users are unable to access Google Drive. We will provide an update detailing when we expect to resolve the problem," Google explained.

Google Drive may have plenty of competition, but if there's one thing Google should be able to boast about, then that is reliability. After all, the Google cloud is a technological marvel, Google has data centers around the world and it is constantly innovating.

What's more, Google apps rarely experience outages, serious problems with Gmail happen once a year or less frequently.

So, it is a bit of a surprise to realize that Google too can have problems, though, granted, they are rare.
