Microsoft Launches Service to Turn Blogs into Windows 8 Apps
As we all know by now, the lack of apps is one of the major setbacks of Windows 8, the new operating system that currently has nearly 60,000 tools available in the Store.
This time, the company is willing to convince devs to create Windows 8 apps by releasing IdeaPress, a new tool aimed at WordPress blog owners that allows them to convert their sites to a Modern tool available from the Store.
It all comes down to a wizard that guides you throughout the process, with IdeaPress offering dedicated features that could allow the app to get updated and send notifications whenever you publish a new post on your blog.
In addition, Microsoft is offering a $50 (€38) Visa Gift Card to those who manage to transform their blogs into Windows 8 apps and get them published in the Store, but the promo is only available for the first 200 people who register for the offer.
